Job Scope 

  • Monitor daily workflows for the settlement of Asia market trades (equity, fixed income, funds, IPOs etc).
  • Manage client enquires on trade settlement issues and adhere to SLAs.
  • Follow up and resolve settlement issues; handle transaction settlement processing (processing updates to client accounts, handling exceptions, investigation and resolution of asset and cash breaks).
  • Collaborate with internal teams and sub custodians to resolve issues to meet client requests and risk and control requirements.
  • Identifying operational inefficiencies, performing analysis and contributing to process improvements and control enhancements.
  • Review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), ensuring that processes are in compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Perform a controller’s role, review and guide team mates on issue escalations.
  • Complete root cause of analysis and identify appropriate remediation actions.
  • Have a good knowledge of custody settlement procedures/systems and is a subject matter expert on the assigned markets.

 

Job Qualifications

  • Degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Preferably with 3 or more years of experience in custody operations, brokerage, securities processing, middle office, financial services.
  • Excellent understanding of operational risk, controls, and exception management.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and having an AI and digital mindset.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a high volume, time sensitive environment.
  • Attention to detail with a demonstrated commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to clearly document issues and collaborate across teams.
  • Willingness to support work schedules on public holidays, when business requires.
